Teen Art and Maker Events

For teen events that require sign ups, please visit the library’s online calendar. Find the event on the calendar and fill out the sign up form at the bottom of the event page!

Teen Craft Nights

Teen Craft Nights are a monthly program, typically held on the last Thursday of the month. All supplies are provided by the Library, but space is limited and you must sign up before the day of the program in order to have enough time to pick up the supplies. For teens in grades 6 and up.

Teen Maker Mondays

Teen Maker Mondays are a monthly program, typically held on the first Monday of the month. Learn and create with STEAM projects. All supplies are provided by the Library, but space is limited, so sign up is required. For teens in middle school and high school.

Teen Maker Nights

Teen Maker Nights are a monthly program, typically held on the second Tuesday of the month. Learn and create in the Maker Space! Use this time to work on your own projects or to explore, create, break, and build things in the Maker Space. All supplies are provided by the Library, but space is limited, so sign up is required. For teens in middle school and high school.

Teen Crochet Club

This is a monthly program that typically occurs on the first Thursday evening of the month. Learn the basics of crocheting or work on an existing project! All skill levels are welcome. All supplies are provided by the Library, but you are welcome to bring in your own projects and materials. For teens in middle school and high school. Sign up is required.

Intro to Machine Sewing

Learn how to use a sewing machine and make your own bookmark! All skill levels are welcome. Registration will begin on May 1. 

Intro to Procreate

Learn how to draw on an iPad with this in-depth intro to the digital drawing app Procreate! All skill levels are welcome. Registration will begin on June 1. 

Sustainable Fashion Workshop

Join a fun and interactive workshop to learn about sustainable fashion and how you can get involved. Do you care about the environment and human rights?  Do you want to be a part of a collective voice for positive change? In this 90-minute workshop we’ll share with you some exciting sustainable fashion ideas and lead you in an interactive and creative project where you can contribute your voice and creative ideas and learn how to make an impact toward a more sustainable future. All skill levels are welcome. Registration will begin on June 1. 

Jewelry Maker Space

From necklaces and bracelets to earrings and keychains this workshop invites teens to explore beads and findings and different types of wire and hemp to create their own unique pieces to take home. All materials will be provided. All skill levels are welcome. Registration will begin on June 1. 

Home School Maker Club

Home School Maker Club is designed for home schooled students ages 11+. Learn and work on a new project on the second Friday of the month in the Maker Space! All supplies are provided by the Library, but space is limited, so sign up is required. This runs from September – May.
