Senior Advisory Board 2024 Summer Report

Summer 2024 Senior Advisory Board Report

In April of 2024, a group of 11, now 12, seniors gathered for the first time to form Medford Public Library’s first Senior Advisory Board (SAB). Consisting of volunteers, the SAB’s formal charge is to create services and programs that will directly benefit senior citizens, or any one 55 and older, of Medford.

The group is proud to announce their first set of programs for the upcoming fall! Check out the events below and be sure to register! Please note: while these programs are listed as “55+,” the SAB invites anyone and everyone, regardless of age, to join the events if they are interested in the topics!

A bit about the board: The Charlotte and William Bloomberg Medford Public Library Senior Advisory Board (SAB)  is a group of senior volunteers, 55 or older, who help make the library a welcoming space for their peers. SAB meets in person as a group once a month in order to help plan senior library programs, create senior resources, and give feedback on the services and programs for seniors. Why join? This is a chance to meet new people, work on fun projects, and provide input on your library space!
