Hudson Chen and Qi Chen, best-selling authors, artists and art experts, are sharing the history of the Silk Road.
They have worked for fifteen years at the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, the most outstanding cultural heritage site on the ancient Silk Road in China. This series of events (five in total) will let us Travel through the Art & History of the Silk Road. Just like in the real world, where mutual understanding and cooperation between ethnic groups is an important foundation for community development, the historical world of ancient China’s Silk Road demonstrates how different ethnic groups and civilizations have worked together to create numerous cultural and artistic achievements.
These 90 minute program events focus on community interaction. Each session will include both a 45 minute presentation with Q&A, and 45 minute relevant group hands-on participation.
In this fourth workshop of the series, Romantic Encounters on the Silk Road, you will get introduced to wool and silk art.
