“The Story of Sarah Bradlee Fulton” tells the story of Medford’s very own Revolutionary War Heroine. Nicknamed “The Mother of the Boston Tea Party,” Sarah both suggested and disguised the Patriots as Mohawk Indians. She also acted as a spy for General Washington, famously delivering dispatches from General Washington behind enemy lines by walking from Medford to Charleston and rowing across the waters to Boston’s North End. Medford’s Fulton Street was named in her honor! President George Washington came to Medford to personally thank Sarah for her help during America’s battle for Independence.
Filmed at Medford Community Media, this movie was both written and stars Medford’s Laura R. Duggan. It was partially funded by a grant from the Medford Cultural Council.
