The Dave McGillivray Finish Strong Foundation empowers youth across New England and beyond to increase physical activity; expand literacy; and build community and self-esteem through running, reading, and performing acts of kindness. The foundation inspires kids to dream big and to set goals, not limits. Our goal with this event is to create a community-based and involved mass- participatory event that will have a significant and positive impact on the City of Medford, its businesses, churches, residents, non-profits, student-athletes, and people in need.

The chosen beneficiaries of the race include:

CHARLOTTE & WILLIAM BLOOMBERG MEDFORD PUBLIC LIBRARY
Charlotte and William Medford Public Library is the heart of the community, existing to serve everyone from birth to the end of their days. The Library is a place for reading, learning, innovation,
and discovery.

POWER KIDS SUMMER ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
Since 2007, Power Kids has been helping children support their peers and community. It’s different from other summer programs; their lead counselors are experienced classroom teachers who teach positive social skills while the kids have summertime fun.

MEDFORD PARKS AND RECREATION PROGRAM
Supports 22 parks in the city as well as Wright’s Pond and Hormel Stadium and Riverbend Park.

MEDFORD SENIOR CENTER
The Medford Council on Aging / Senior center advocates for Medford’s older adults 60+.  The COA evaluates, promotes, encourages, and provides new and existing services that are intended to
enhance the quality of the lives of elder residents.

THE CENTER FOR CITIZENSHIP AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AT MEDFORD HIGH SCHOOL
The mission of the CCSR is to develop responsible global leaders/citizens who will be positive contributors to society and will work to combat important social issues such as global warming,
addiction, prejudice, racism, pollution, gender bias, poverty, public education, healthcare, etc.
