In this 3 hour workshop you will learn the basics of glass fusing while
designing and creating a Menorah with glass sheets, frits, powders and
stringers. Your instructor will show you different ways to position the
candle cups and will help you cut the glass according to your design.
Then you will create a mezuzah and a simple ceramic fiber mold to
create a space for the scroll. (the scroll is not included). We will also find
ways to add a “shin” to the mezuzah.
Your instructor will fire your creations in his own kiln. They will be
available within two weeks.
Safety note: Students must wear closed toes shoes. Safety glasses will
be provided.
