Fundraising at the Library:
Only the Friends of Medford Public Library and the Medford Public Library Foundation, two
independent 501c3 organizations dedicated to raising funds to support the Charlotte and
William Bloomberg Medford Public Library, may conduct fundraising activities inside the Library.
We recognize the value of local non-profit organizations to have an opportunity to reach a larger audience. Medford City-affiliated organizations and independent 501c3 organizations seeking space for a fundraising event may petition the Library for the use of the Cummings Patio on the eastern side of the building by email their request to medford@minlib.net
Requests for fundraising booths on the patio are restricted to one request per group per quarter and are restricted to hours that the Library is open. Organizations granted access to this space must provide their own table, chairs, and booths. The patio must be returned to the same condition it was found in upon the completion of the event. Failure to do so can result in fines and/or suspension of this privilege.
All fundraising activities by the permitted groups named above and any groups that successfully petition for use of the patio must comply with applicable library policies and must be planned and executed in consultation with the Library Director or designee.
Commercial Sales at the Library:
Commercial sales are prohibited on-site at the library, except those provided as part of a library-sanctioned program, such as an author selling copies of their book following an author talk or the coffee cart program which provides employment opportunities for individuals with disability.
