The best way to support the Library is to use the Library! Come in and check out our books, attend a program, and use the space. If you would like to give a little more support to the Library, we accept donations of time, money, and resources.

Volunteer

The Library has a volunteer corps that helps keep us going! We need folks to help get books back to the right space, assist with evening programs as hosts, and be a MakerSpace assistants!  Adults seeking to support the library by donating their time can email Sam at ssednek@minlib.net to find out the next training day. Teens seeking to get volunteer hours should check out the Teen Volunteer Opportunities page and then contact Nicole at nperrault@minlib.net.

The Friends of Medford Public Library also accept new volunteers. The Friends raise money for all the Library’s programs. You can find out more about volunteering with the Friends at their volunteer page here.

Donate

The Medford Library Foundation was developed to help fundraise for our new building. Donations to the Foundation help us with capital costs, technology, and programming. Foundation donations can be used to make ‘markers’ like pavers and Giving Tree leaves for loved ones and honorees. All Foundation donations are tax deductible. For more information about donating to the Medford Library Foundation, check out their website HERE.

The Friends of Medford Public Library have been our partner nonprofit for many, many years. When people donate books to the Library, the Friends collect and resell them. The money they raise in their booksales has been the primary fund for all of our library programs and museum passes! The Friends have a membership fee that allows them to support more Library programming. They also accept larger donations. All Friends donations are tax deductible. For more information about the Friends, check out their website HERE.

Adopt-a-book is a Friends of Medford Public Library sponsored program. If you would like us to buy a particular type of book and have an honoree bookplate added, you can start that process by printing and returning this FORM to the Library.

Donate Resources

The Library has both a MakerSpace and Library of Things. If you have gently used materials that you think might be of use to the MakerSpace or something that might be an awesome thing to share via the Library of Things, you can send an image and description to Sam at ssednek@minlib.net to see if we have space to add them!
