When you’re looking for a fiction book, check out the new changes we have made to organizing our shelves. First of all we are in the process of labeling each book with the author’s last name and genre to make books quicker to find. So much easier to browse the stacks! We’re not quite there yet but have our whole team pitching in to get the job done. 

Another major change that you may have noticed is we are separating fiction books into more genres. We already had separate shelves for science fiction/fantasy and mystery but we are going even deeper than that. Now you will be able to find romance and horror books on their own shelves as well, and thrillers will soon be joining the mystery shelves. We hope this will allow patrons to find what they are looking for much more quickly! 

If you have any questions about this shake up, please feel free to stop by the information desk and check in with one of our librarians. If you can’t find them in their usual spots, we’ve shifted them too! The information and reference desk are together in the middle of the room, right before the public computers.
