Medford Photographs in the Library Collection

The Library owns a large collection of historical photographs of Medford places, events, and people. Click here to see a list of the images.

The Medford Public Library provides copies of images from our collection for Educational, commercial, and personal use.

Once you have searched the photograph list and found the image(s) you want, note the item number and title.

Using the Permission Form available on this website, requests for copies can be made through the mail, by fax, or via e-mail to medquery@minlib.net. Copies will not be mailed or e-mailed, however, until payment is received. Copies will be sent out within 10 business days of the receipt of payment. If you have a question about fees please contact the Reference Department at (781) 395-7950. Click here for the Permission Form.

The following fees will be charged:

  • For personal or student use:
    1. Images sent via e-mail: no charge
    2. 8x10 copies : $5.00 per copy + postage
  • For use in publications:
    1. Fees vary. Contact the Library for details.
  • For Internet/Website use:
    1. Non-profit: $25.00
    2. Six months or more commercial: $75.00
  • For Film and Television use:
    1. Fees vary. Contact the Library for details.

To open the list of pictures that the library has, you must have Microsoft Excel or another spreadsheet program.
